Fulfill All of Colorado’s Renewal Requirements with Just Two A+ Advancement for Educator Courses!
Colorado educators seeking to renew an active (or expired) Colorado professional teacher license must complete the following, according to the Colorado Department of Education:
“Completion of 90 contact hours (6 semester hours) of professional development…within the seven years of your active license.”
This is a total of 2 A+ Advancement courses!
45 of these required hours must be an approved English Learner Professional Development program. A+ Advancement’s course, Culturally & Linguistically Responsive Teaching, is CDE approved to fulfill this requirement. (45 contact hours / 3 semester hours)
10 of these required hours must meet the Special Education and Behavioral Health Licensure Renewal Requirements, for all educators renewing after June 30, 2025. The content of A+ Advancement’s course, Supporting Student Wellness, may be used to fulfill this requirement. (45 contact hours / 3 semester hours)
